Celebrate International Women’s Day with the queens of Australian blues!
On Saturday 7 March, the Sydney Blues Society transforms the Marrickville Bowling Club into a sanctuary of soul, grit, and fierce musicianship. This is a night led by women who don’t just play the blues — they bend it to their will.

✨ Hussy Hicks
Renowned for blistering guitar work, honey-and-whiskey vocals, and a live energy that could power the Inner West, Hussy Hicks bring their genre-blending roots, blues, and rock swagger to the stage. They’re festival favourites for a reason — incendiary, fearless, unforgettable.

✨ Karen Lee Andrews
A magnetic storyteller with a voice carved from gospel, soul, and deep emotional truth. Karen brings powerhouse elegance to every note, weaving big-stage charisma with intimate heart. When she sings, you don’t just listen — you surrender.

✨ Genevieve Chadwick
Raw, resonant, and fiercely authentic, Genevieve Chadwick channels blues-rock grit with the force of a freight train and the poetry of a wandering troubadour. Her performances hit hard and stay with you long after the final chord fades.

✨ Liza Ohlback – Hall of Famer
A stalwart of the Australian blues scene, Liza’s smoky tone and dynamic range move effortlessly from gospel fire to deep blues moan. A multi-award winner and a commanding performer, she embodies the heart of the genre.

✨ Sally King – Hall of Famer
A true pioneer of Australian rhythm & blues, Sally King’s voice carries decades of stories, swagger, and soul. Her presence is magnetic, her delivery timeless — she’s blues royalty in every sense.
